Hello everyone.  I am Delia and I am joined the ministry team for St James’ and St Michael & All Angels under Rev John Page.  I start in January 2019 on an unpaid part-time basis.  This is because I am also a (nearly) full-time Partner with Alliotts Chartered Accountants in Guildford and London.

I moved here from Haslemere, but previously lived in Elstead in Lower Ham Lane and ran my own Accountancy business for a time at Tanshire Park.

In ministry I started as a Reader training in Milford then in Haslemere. I moved from Elstead to Haslemere as Curate in St Bartholomew’s Church with its daughter church of St Christopher’s.  I then moved on to become Associate Minister in the Parish of Seale, Sands, Puttenham & Wanborough, travelling to the parish every Sunday from my home in Haslemere.  I was also a school governor and Chaplain to the RAF Cadets 1268 squadron.

So why am I back in Elstead?  Well in 2018 I took a 6 month sabbatical as it was 10 years since my ordination and a good time to stop and reflect on where my future ministry should be.  Not getting a good answer to the question “Why am I living in Haslemere?” I asked God “Where then?” and visited various churches and home locations.  From all this prayer and searching the answer became clear.  I was being called back to live in Elstead and serve both parishes.  Putting my house on the market I was amazed to find a buyer and a new house within just three weeks. Boy does God moves quickly when he is in charge!

So here I am and I look forward to sharing our spiritual journey together as we work to bring God’s kingdom a little closer.
