The Friends of St James’ Church is a Charitable Trust to help fund improvements and maintenance of the church building. We work with the Parochial Church Council to support their aim of making the church “fit for the next 50 years”. We rely on the generosity of local residents and friends of the church for much of our income but this needs to be supplemented by attracting grants when major work is undertaken.
The importance of maintaining our beautiful church in the heart of our community means that work is regularly needed. We are therefore always looking for additional friends to help us maintain the fabric of the building for future generations.
