The PCC has approved the building contract and we are committed to costs of £314,086 plus VAT taking the total spend to £376,903 for Phase One works. The good news is that we have savings of £268,369 plus a pledge of £40,000 in the kitty. We need to raise a further £68,534 and we have some further grant applications under way.
Phase One sees the pews removed and a new stone floor with underfloor heating and an air source heat pump installed. This will create the flexible space for worship and community events we planned. Phase Two will upgrade the kitchen, toilets, office and vestry.
If you can please send a donation towards the costs to our bank account (bank details are on the downloadable leaflet below) and reference it “F4F”, or obtain a parish giving scheme form from the back of the church.
Work starts after easter in May so we are also looking for help moving our contents out of the church in the week commencing 21st April. If you can help please let Nicole know at the office.

St James Church Services during the Building Project
The PCC is grateful to St James School in Elstead for agreeing to host us in the School Hall for our services during the reordering project.
Our services will move to the school from the 4th of May
1st Sunday of the month – 9.15 am and 10.30 am
2nd Sunday of the month – 9.15am
3rd Sunday of the month – 10.30am
Please note that we must be considerate when parking at the school on a Sunday morning. Please do not park in front of Ann, the school caretaker’s, gate or park her in during services.
